Novenas

A novena is a prayer said for 9 days consecutively to obtain a favour.

The first novena was after the Ascension of Our Lord. The apostles and Our Lady along with several disciples gathered in the Upper Room to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit. After 9 days the Holy Spirit came down upon them. This is the feast of Pentecost.

Below are 4 novenas to be prayed for over a 9 day period leading up to the feast day. Although there are many novenas to be prayed throughout the year, we wish to share with you the 4 novenas that are prayed by us.
